Politics Powtoon
In this brief Social Studies animation, I tried to explain politics to elementary, middle, and high school students. The learners would access this video on a Learning Management System (such as Edmodo) or the teacher would play the video for the classroom.
In terms of multimedia principles, the animation follows the following four principles: first the multimedia principle which means images and words are better for learners than words alone. When necessary, images and words were utilized to increase comprehension. Second, the coherence principle was utilized because there was no unnecessary content to distract the learner. Third, the spatial contiguity principle was utilized because the words and images were close together. Fourth, the temporal contiguity prinicple was utilized because the images and word were on the same pages and not in different areas.
