Storytelling
In the thirteenth installment of Before and After, I had a task to make a story out of concept I have taught in the past.
In eighth grade South Carolina History, students have difficulty remembering that the capitol moved from Charleston to Columbia. Therefore, I created a brief three panel comic strip that describes how the Up Country was upset with the other parts of the state because of the location of the capitol. I used emoji pictures from Google search to give emotions to each part of the state. Distance in the first panel was important to drive the point that the Up Country was not happy. The second panel indicates that all the parts of state were fighting. I made the parts of South Carolina using a map from Google search and the draw tool.
