UTILIZE RESOURCES
Instructor: Arthur Infantino
Review Resources
I previewed all resources before implementation with my students. I reviewed questions and videos on Brainpop and Flocabulary. TinyTap "Cells, Cells, They're made of Organelles", "Organelles of A Cell" and Sheppard Software Cells were examined before given to students.
Prepare Resources
I made sure all computers in the library with the Interactive Whiteboard were functional. Sound was checked before implementation.
Prepare the Environment
I informed the Media Specialist at my school ahead of time to make sure all hardware was working correctly. I send an email to the Media Specialist with the links that she would be working with the students. The Technology Coach assisted with making sure hardware was working correctly.
Furthermore, I reserved the Media Center (Library) ahead of time to make sure the environment was quiet enough for my students to work in the blended learning environment.
Prepare the Learners
I informed the students ahead of the lesson that will be working on Interactive Whiteboards in the nearby future. Students were told the lesson would happen in the library and should go to that location instead of my classroom.
Provide the Learning Experience
I previewed the types of cells in the classroom with student centered learning activities before the lesson. Students worked on each station for about twenty minutes before switching to the next station.
